CYBER WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Our Cyber Workforce Development Program is designed to support minorities, veterans, DOD civilians, and underserved communities to deliver 21st-century skill gap training in 8 online certification modules.

These modules total over 560 hours of lecture, lab, certification training, and mentorship.  Each online certification module will be delivered in one week (40-hour blocks) to accommodate the working professional.

The certification instruction and exam vouchers will be provided to attendees by certified CompTIA instructors. Certification modules include:

CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ (ITF+)

CompTIA ITF+ helps professionals to decide if a career in IT is right for them or to develop a broader understanding of IT.

  • ITF+ is the only pre-career certification that helps students or career changers determine if they have competency in information technology and if it is the right career path for them.

  • ITF+ is the only single certification that covers all areas of IT foundations, creating a broader understanding of IT making it ideal for non-technical professionals.

  • ITF+ establishes an IT education framework for students in middle school and high school.

CompTIA A+

CompTIA A+ is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. It is about much more than PC repair.

  • Candidates are better prepared to troubleshoot and problem solve.

  • Technicians understand a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security.

  • A+ supports the ability to connect users to the data they need to do their jobs regardless of the devices being used.

CompTIA Network+

CompTIA Network+ N10-007 has been updated and reorganized to address the current networking technologies with expanded coverage of several domains by adding:

  • Critical security concepts to helping networking professionals work with security practitioners

  • Key cloud computing best practices and typical service models

  • Coverage of newer hardware and virtualization techniques

  • Concepts to give individuals the combination of skills to keep the network resilient

CompTIA Security+

CompTIA Security+ is the first security certification a candidate should earn. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. Security+ incorporates best practices in hands-on troubleshooting, ensuring candidates have practical security problem-solving skills required to:

  • Assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions

  • Monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT

  • Operate with an awareness of applicable laws and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance

  • Identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents

CompTIA Server+

CompTIA Server+ certification validates the skills necessary to be a server administrator. Successful candidates will have mastered the following concepts:

  • Virtualization

  • Storage

  • Security

  • Troubleshooting

CompTIA Cloud+

CompTIA Cloud+ validates the skills you need to maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure services.

  • Cloud+ covers the increased diversity of knowledge, skills, and abilities required of system administrators to validate what is necessary to perform effectively in data center jobs.

  • CompTIA Cloud+ views cloud-based infrastructure services as an increasingly important piece of an organization’s IT systems.

  • It is the only vendor-neutral, performance-based certification covering more than a specific vendor or a single function — such as security or networking — to help you better realize the return on investment of cloud infrastructure services.

CompTIA CASP+

The CASP+ certification validates advanced-level competency in risk management, enterprise security operations and architecture, research and collaboration, and integration of enterprise security. The CASP+ exam covers the following:

  • Enterprise security domain expanded to include operations and architecture concepts, techniques, and requirements

  • More emphasis on analyzing risk through interpreting trend data and anticipating cyberdefense needs to meet business goals

  • Expanding security control topics to include mobile and small-form-factor devices, as well as software vulnerability

  • Broader coverage of integrating cloud and virtualization technologies into a secure enterprise architecture

  • Inclusion of implementing cryptographic techniques, such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, and mobile device encryption

CompTIA Project+

The CompTIA Project+ examination is designed for business professionals who coordinate or manage small-to-medium-sized projects. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and skills required to:

  • Manage the project life cycle

  • Ensure appropriate communication

  • Manage resources and stakeholders

  • Maintain project documentation
